In 1915, our founder and great-grandfather, Andy Raust, established himself as a master craftsman who worked diligently to produce beautiful engravings and designs. His apprentice, Bill McConnell, continued the tradition and opened our first store in Oakland. In Israel, Dave meets with the diamond cutters directly. This transforms what can be a very anonymous transaction into a real person to person, face to face relationship.
